Although we have grown from our modest beginnings in East Perth to a flourishing network of cafés around the city since 2019, our fundamental principles have remained constant. We're here to savoury excellent food, great coffee, and a welcoming environment.

How Kinky Lizard Got Its Name
"Where does the name Kinky Lizard come from?"
is a question that people frequently ask. The narrative is as distinctive as the name. We were both excited and worn out when we initially opened in East Perth, next to the stunning Victoria Gardens. Everything about the café had been meticulously prepared except for one final element: the name. We were working one day when we spotted her—a gorgeous bright-orange lizard with sparkling eyes that appeared to embody the essence of the location. Kinky Lizard was created at that exact moment, and its name was inspired by something unique and distinctive, much like our café.
